NOUS VOUS

Leeds based design collective: Nous Vous, created the branding for the Leeds Light Night.
The programme is an overwhelming inspiration to my Film Festival work, Nous Vous use of illustration serves as a refreshing break from the condensed layout of information, and the mono-print programme is cost-effective but not an adhearance to the design, if anything it enhances Light Night's identity.

Daniel Carlsten

Acne Designer Daniel Carlsten has produced a number of impressive and influential works which inspire my input in the yearbook design. The daring and completely original invite uses paper to its full potential, and his layout designs in particularly are a great inspiration to me. The full colour DPS photograph pages are magnificent and break-up the hard black & white pages throughout the publication.

More inspirational Publications for the Yearbook design.

This publication by Roger Teeuwen is interesting as it displays images upside down, making you flip the book over to view the images. However, the entire book can be read backwards as well as forwards, completely braking the mould of publication design.

Film Festival Logos

Here are some examples of current film festival logos.

I mostly admire the Brooklyn Underground film festival. This is due to the logos simplicity but achievement of identity and appropriate representation of the event. The word 'underground' appears to be sat underneath 'Brooklyn', playing on the word of underground/unknown films hidden by/in Brooklyn. 

Another Anomaly - YCN Winners

Here are the commendations for the 2009 YCN brief I'm completing for FMP.
The ideas are really strong, effectively delivering the message of table tennis for everyone, anywhere, in a format that is easily relative to the audience.

Cannibalism

For the Cannibalism - MPA Roses Student Awards brief, I plan to produce package designs, mainly for food products.
This will enable me to create a broad range of products as food is such a diverse category for packaging. Also, different aspects of packaging can be considered such as boxes, labels, bottles, bottle caps, nutritional information design ect.
