Dig For Fire: Research

As I am creating a 1min Flash animation for Mutual Assurance company Engage, I am looking at existing advertisments and similar style animations.

Good use of simple imagery and single colour. Perfect flow and timing.


The Bupa Health adverts are great, they show a clever use of limited detail and rely on accurate but simple animation. the use of characters make the Bupa seem more friendly as we can relate to the situations the characters are in, in the ads. (Click link below)

I have taken great inspiration from this book. It delivers, in a clear and fun way, an impressive understanding of using type for design. The simplicity of the idea and religious styling is what makes this book an original type design guide. 
The subtle use of calligraphic lettering, parchment stock and hidden crucifix throughout strengthen the quality of the book, it is very well designed.
